What We Do
The Eno River Association has a 50-year history of protecting the nature, culture, and history of the Eno River Basin by safeguarding water quality and wildlife habitat, preserving farms and forests, creating parks for public recreation, and celebrating the Eno as a vital community asset. We were a driving force behind Eno River State Park, West Point on the Eno, Penny’s Bend Nature Preserve, Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area, and Little River Regional Park. Used by 500,000+ people every year, these parks have helped shape our physical landscape, build a culture of conservation, and establish our local environment as a community value.
“Eno’s summer camp was a life-changing experience for me… I encouraged my family to go out to the river, and now it’s something we love to do together. I also plan to major in Environmental Studies in college.” – Natalie Chandler, iWalk the Eno Science & Nature Camp Camper and Mentor
